Amberle's Musings

Jan. 12th, 2007 06:53 pm Vanishing Acts Part 4 Things I don't like about this:
1. Haru being 'randomly' dropped in. I want Katara to have friends, obviously, but I never know how to give people proper introductions. It sucks.
2. The 'balancing' trick. There were loads more impressive ones that I found, but they all involved the assistant knowing what they were supposed to be doing beforehand. Ah, well...
3. My audience. They clap a lot, don't they?Current Location: Home Current Mood: annoyed

| Dec. 8th, 2006 11:23 pm There's been a lot of theories blasting about since the season finalle, and to be absolutely honest, I'm feeling left out. So here's my two pennyworth:
Sokka has coldsores.
No, seriously, don't dismiss it out of hand. First Yue catches them, and becomes so depressed at the loss of her beautiful face that she basically gives up life just to become the moon (because let's face it-pretty hard to get coldsores if you're an immortal spirit). And now Suki has mysteriously disappeared and we've got no clue where she is. What's the bet she's hiding out in a cave somewhere nursing her face and waiting for the Curse of Sokka to depart?
Poor Ty Lee...if only she knew... Current Mood: enthralled Current Music: The Killers

I'm still kinda surprised I actually finished this. Blame Vertigo and her endless bugging. Again, none of this could have been written without her.Current Location: Home Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: Arctic Monkeys

| Nov. 6th, 2006 05:42 pm So I'm watching 'Lake Laogai' the other day, and like most I'm gawping over brainwashed!Jet and wondering exactly what Zuko is planning to do with a giant bison. Then Jet is wounded, longshot SPEAKS and primes his bow, and I'm left gaping at the screen, wondering if euthanasia is really suitable for a kids show.
Half an hour later, in the middle of a ballet, of all things, it hits me. Longshot isn't about to spear Jet-he's getting ready to defend him if anyone comes in. Well, duh!
Anyone else feel as stupid as me? Current Location: Home Current Mood: blah

| Oct. 29th, 2006 06:23 pm Let's face it-would Katara not look adorable as a stage-magician? With Zuko as her beautiful assistant? Four weeks with this thought running through my brain and I produce this:

| Oct. 28th, 2006 07:13 pm So I have returned from the back of beyond (namely Australia-ahem), and the furthest from my own little home that I can possibly go, and have determined that it is the closest place to Scotland that I have ever seen outside the borders.
Differences (among others)
1. Heat. Jeez, back home we're lucky if it gets above 24 (celcius) and there we were in 38 degree days. That is hot, people. And it was their spring.
2. Things that bite. Apparently, the Auzzies have the greatest number of poisonous animals of any country in the world. My little cousin asked me what dangerous animals we had back home...I told him a haggis can be pretty darn scary on a dark night.
3. South being colder. I still can't quite get my head around that.
4. Aboriginee art
Similarities
1. Language-closer to ours than American-English...though we still had the ol' trouser/pant debate
2. Television-though australian idol kicks some ass.
3. Food-I don't know what I was expecting, really.
4. People. Just...people. And I don't mean the colour of their skin. It's weird thinking it, but a lot of these people come from Britain-were British-just 200 years back. Current Location: Home (for the first time in 2 weeks) Current Mood: sleepy Current Music: The Beatles...yes, it's true...

| Sep. 20th, 2006 06:32 pm I am such a spoiled child. Seriously. I have spent the last week moaning that I've got homework every night, only to find out that my parents do double the amount in their lunch hour. How am I ever going to grow up?

| Sep. 14th, 2006 08:14 pm It's weird, but for something really random that I just started jotting down for the sake of it, this has become strangely real for me. Just now, for example, I'm feeling sort of vaguely sorry for Ty Lee...

| Sep. 14th, 2006 08:10 pm I can't believe it's only ten past eight and its already dark.
I mean, seriously! I'm sitting in my living room and I cannot see past the window. Pitch black. There could be an army of dead people in the garden and I wouldn't know.
Spooky though, actually... Current Location: Home Current Mood: scared Current Music: Dancing With Myself

| Aug. 24th, 2006 07:19 pm I am fickle in the extreme.
About three days after declaring my love for 'Cast A Bright Shadow' I have embarked on another little project. Fortunately, this isn't really a serious thing (ironic, considering its about the most serious thing I've ever written) and mainly for me. But for anyone who's interested, I present
